Leer Photography is owned by Cindie, Lee, Kaitlyn (Yinger) and Madison (Rife) Leer and has been in business for 25 years. We are a full-time portrait photography studio located in York Springs, Pennsylvania. Cindie and Madison are graduates of the New York Institute of Photography, and Cindie graduated earning two of the highest awards the
school offers their students. Cindie has also earned various blue, red, and white ribbons through Professional Competitions offered through PPA of PA, Inc. Leer Photography is a member of The Professional Photographers of America and the Professional Photographers' Association of Pennsylvania (PPA of PA, Inc.). They are also
members of Senior Photographers of America, The Shine for Him Project, NILMDTS, and NAPPA.
Leer Photography continues their education at various photography classes, seminars, and conventions throughout the state and country. On a personal level, Cindie and Lee are members of the York Springs Fire Company and Ambulance. They are also members of the Bermudian Jaycees, Hanover Area Parrotheads, and active supporters of the American Cancer Society.
Cindie and Lee were born and raised in York Springs. They both graduated from Bermudian Springs High School. Cindie started the photography business in 1999 with her husband Lee. Cindie graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in 2001. They built their portrait studio in 2004 and built on the extension to the studio in 2011. Their daughters, Kaitlyn and Madison, joined the family business full time in 2015.
Kaitlyn and Trevor are both alumni of Bermudian Springs. Kaitlyn graduated from the Art Institute of York in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design. She became full-time with the family business in 2015. She is in charge of all the editing, graphic work, design work, and office work for the business.
Kaitlyn was married in 2020 to her husband, Trevor Yinger. They have a puppy named Dixie, and they were blessed with a daughter, Maelee Pauline, in May, 2023.
Madison is an alumni of Bermudian Springs and Austin of New Oxford High School. Madison graduated from the New York Institute of Photography and became a full-time photographer with the family business in 2015. Madison and Cindie work together with all portrait sessions giving you the unique eye of two professionals.
Madison was married in 2023 to Austin, and Madison's 14 year old puppy, Bella, moved in with them in their new home in New Oxford.
God gave our family the best gift in 2023. Maelee comes to work every day with Kaitlyn. She can be heard "talking" and giggling in the back office! Family is everything to us!
Marcy joined our family business in 2018 as a part time employee. She is in charge of putting all our orders together and to make sure everything looks perfect for our customers before it leaves our studio. Quality check number 12! We value her eye for detail and her thoroughness when putting the orders together.
